SouthWood was built to be walked, not driven past, and that changes how a display should be designed. Homes sit close to the street with deep front porches, columns, and alley-loaded garages. The roofline is rarely the star here — the porch is. Displays that work in SouthWood are built at eye level and read from the sidewalk.
Porches and columns carry the display. A SouthWood home puts its architecture at the front: full-width porches, square columns, railings, and second-floor balconies. Garland on columns and railings, wreaths at the door, and warm light under the porch ceiling read far better from twenty feet away than a long roof run does.
Lots are close together, so restraint reads as expensive. Houses here sit near each other and near the sidewalk. A display seen at close range shows every flaw, which is why custom-cut runs and consistent color temperature matter more in SouthWood than in a neighborhood where the house is eighty feet back. Clean and deliberate beats loud.
Association design guidelines are part of the plan. SouthWood has an established architectural review process and each village has its own expectations for seasonal decoration and timing. The design is built to fit those guidelines rather than around them, and your association's rules can be worked from directly at the consultation.
Narrow streets and alleys change the install. Access here is tighter than in most of Tallahassee. Installations are scheduled and staged so the street stays passable and the alley behind you is not blocked, which mostly means being on the calendar early enough to get a sensible day.
One price, everything handled
Every SouthWood display is quoted as one all-inclusive seasonal price, and that price covers all of the following. There are no per-visit service fees, no takedown charge, and no storage bill in January.

Seasonal lighting is normal throughout SouthWood, though each village has its own guidelines on what goes up and when it comes down. Bring your association's rules to the consultation and the design is built to fit them.
Not if the display is scaled to the house. On tight SouthWood lots the design leans on porch, column, and door work rather than maximum roofline, which reads as finished rather than piled on.
Yes, and on many SouthWood homes that is the better display. Columns, railings, garland, and door work are what people see from the sidewalk, so the budget goes further there than on a roof run nobody stands far enough back to take in.
